Hears Offer

Compliance, Negative Keyword & Messaging Policy

Affiliates promoting the Hears offer must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure brand protection, accurate representation, and compliance with advertising platform standards.

❗ Negative Keyword Enforcement

Affiliates are strictly prohibited from bidding on branded terms in paid search campaigns. This applies to:

  • Paid search ads (Google, Bing, YouTube, etc.)

  • Performance Max campaigns

  • Display/tracking URLs

  • Domains and subdomains

  • Headlines, ad copy, and metadata

  • Meta descriptions or hidden text

🚫 Prohibited Keywords

Hears

Hears earplugs

Hears hearing protection

Hears official

Hears.com

Any branded product names or variations

All branded keywords, including close variations, misspellings, pluralizations, abbreviations, or product-specific terms, are not allowed under any match type (exact, phrase, broad).

Affiliates may not use brand terms in domains, subdomains, display URLs, or landing page URLs.

⚠️ Messaging Restrictions

Hears is a consumer hearing protection product designed to automatically tune sound to safer levels while maintaining clarity.

Affiliates must ensure messaging remains lifestyle-focused and compliant with advertising regulations.

❌ Do NOT Say:

“Hears prevents hearing loss”
“Hears protects your ears from all damage”
“Clinically proven to restore hearing”
“Doctor recommended” (unless explicitly authorized)
“Official Hears website”
Any medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic claims
Any claims implying FDA approval or government certification unless explicitly authorized

✅ You MAY Say:

“Designed to help reduce exposure to loud noise”
“Automatically tunes sounds to safer, more pleasant levels”
“Helps protect your hearing at concerts and loud events”
“A smarter alternative to traditional earplugs”
“Enjoy clear sound while lowering harmful noise levels”

🔍 Why This Matters

Brand bidding and unauthorized claims create marketplace confusion and can trigger advertising platform disapprovals.

Hears must not be positioned as a medical device, treatment, or cure. Overstated or clinical claims can result in regulatory violations and immediate campaign suspension.

Compliance ensures:

  • Protection of brand integrity

  • Platform-safe advertising

  • Long-term offer stability

🚫 Violations Will Result In:

  • Immediate removal from the Hears offer

  • Reversal of commissions tied to non-compliant traffic

  • Holds on affiliate payouts

  • Suspension or termination from the GiddyUp Network

✅ Stay Compliant

  • Use non-branded, benefit-focused keywords

  • Avoid all medical or guaranteed protection claims

  • Do not imply official brand ownership

  • Stick strictly to approved messaging

  • Request clarification before launch if unsure
