No Paid Search
Affiliates are strictly prohibited from using any paid search to promote Kitsch products. This includes both branded and non-branded campaigns.
Prohibited campaigns and methods include:
Google Search Ads
Microsoft/Bing Search Ads
Paid search on any other search engine or platform
Shopping campaigns
Dynamic Search Ads (DSAs)
Performance Max campaigns
Search arbitrage campaigns
Affiliates promoting Kitsch products must follow the compliance standards below to ensure all marketing remains accurate, non-misleading, and aligned with approved brand messaging.
Failure to comply may result in traffic being paused, commissions reversed, withheld payments, or removal from the offer.
There are no exceptions based on keyword selection, match type, negative keywords, or destination. Excluding Kitsch branded terms does not make a paid search campaign permissible.
Affiliates are also prohibited from targeting Kitsch branded terms in YouTube Ads and display campaigns.
Branded terms include Kitsch, My Kitsch, branded product names, coupon and discount terms, competitor-plus-Kitsch comparison terms, and all close variations, misspellings, abbreviations, and pluralizations.
Product Claims
All product claims must be truthful, substantiated, and consistent with the approved messaging found on the applicable product detail page (PDP).
Affiliates should focus on cosmetic and appearance-based benefits rather than medical or therapeutic outcomes. Kitsch products are cosmetic and personal care products and must not be promoted as treatments, cures, or medical solutions.

Acceptable Messaging
Use product-appropriate, substantiated messaging such as:
“Helps reduce the appearance of…”
“Leaves hair feeling stronger”
“Hair looks visibly healthier”
“Helps improve the appearance of shine”
“Supports healthier-looking hair”
“Hair feels softer and smoother with regular use”
Formulation & Ingredient Claims
Affiliates must accurately describe formulations and avoid unsubstantiated ingredient claims.

When accurate and approved for the specific product, use messaging such as:
Clean formulation
Vegan
Cruelty-free
Made with thoughtfully chosen ingredients
Do not claim a product is sulfate-free unless that specific SKU has been verified.
Approved alternatives, when applicable to the product, include:
Gentle cleansing
Low-lather cleansing
Gentle cleansing formula
Affiliates are responsible for verifying individual product formulations before making ingredient-specific claims.
Results & Timelines
Affiliates may not guarantee specific results or promise timelines unless those claims have been approved and substantiated.

Environmental Claims
Environmental messaging must remain factual and properly substantiated. Only use claims approved for the specific product being promoted.
Product-specific claims may include, where approved and substantiated:
Plastic-free packaging
Water-saving concentrated formula
Avoid broad or unsubstantiated environmental claims such as:
Eco-friendly
Completely sustainable
Environmentally harmless
Zero environmental impact
Green product
Shampoo & Conditioner Bars
Use only the substantiated replacement statement shown on the applicable product page.
For example, “One bar replaces up to 2 bottles of liquid shampoo” may be used only if approved for that SKU.
Do not generalize product-specific claims across the entire Kitsch catalog.
Rice Tein NPNF® Claims
For products formulated with Rice Tein NPNF®, the following approved claims may be used exactly as substantiated:
“Formulated with Rice Tein NPNF®, clinically proven to increase hair volume and improve the appearance of natural shine in just 5 washes¹.”
“Rice Tein NPNF® has been shown to increase hair volume by 20% after 5 washes.”
Do not alter these statements or extend them to products that do not contain Rice Tein NPNF®. Include the applicable supporting footnote or disclosure from the approved product messaging when using a claim marked with a footnote.
Creative & Brand Representation
All promotional materials must accurately represent the Kitsch brand.
Creative must:
Feature a diverse range of hair types
Include multiple hair textures and curl patterns
Avoid focusing exclusively on one hair type
Maintain a warm, inclusive, and encouraging tone
Affiliates must not use fear-based, shame-based, or insecurity-driven messaging about hair.
Always refer to the brand as Kitsch.
Do not use variations such as:
Kitch
Kitschy
Other misspellings or abbreviations
Use current product names exactly as provided by the brand.
Creative Updates & Approval
Affiliates must notify their Account Manager before updating creative to reflect:
Formula changes
Packaging updates
Product claim changes
New approved messaging
Do not publish revised claims until approval has been received.
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
Immediate traffic suspension
Required removal or correction of non-compliant content
Commission reversals on non-compliant traffic
Withheld payments
Removal from the Kitsch campaign
Permanent removal from future Kitsch promotions within the GiddyUp Network
Affiliates are responsible for ensuring all advertisements, landing pages, videos, emails, social posts, and other promotional materials accurately reflect approved Kitsch messaging and comply with these standards before launch.
