Understanding Tracking Links

Setting up tracking correctly is the most important step to ensure your campaigns run smoothly and conversions are attributed accurately. Below is a guide to help you understand how to generate and customize your tracking links using Everflow.

Redirect Links

Redirect links are the standard tracking method used in Everflow. When a user clicks on the partner’s tracking link, they are first routed through Everflow’s tracking domain, which allows the platform to:

  • Record the click

  • Track sub values and other parameters

  • Redirect the user to the correct offer page

Pros:

  • Enables full tracking capabilities (click data, sub values, etc.)

  • Easy to implement for most use cases
    Cons:

  • Adds a small delay (milliseconds) as the user is redirected through Everflow

  • Can be blocked by browsers or extensions that limit tracking redirects

➤ Direct Linking

Direct linking skips the redirect through the tracking domain by allowing the partner to link directly to the offer URL, while still preserving tracking through JavaScript.

To enable this:

  • The brand must install Everflow’s JavaScript SDK on the offer page.

  • The partner’s domain must be added and approved in the platform for direct linking.

Pros:

  • Faster user experience — no redirect delay

  • More seamless and better for platforms that limit redirects
    Cons:

  • Requires additional setup (JavaScript SDK and domain approval)

  • Less flexibility for things like sub-value tracking unless properly configured
